Description

The oils of Masía el Altet are prized by chefs and continue to garner some of the most prestigious awards in the world, including Gold in 2019 at the New York Olive Oil Competition. The exceptional extra virgin olive oils of Masía el Altet are produced from native olives collected in the fields of the Alicante Mountains of Valencia, an area with a unique microclimate that allows the production of olives. Their rural farm in the town of Alcoy is located in a narrow valley known as Polop, surrounded by mountains, pines, oaks and junipers. Bushes of sage, thyme, rosemary and mint dot the hillsides, contributing to the extraordinary beauty of the area known as the “Kingdom of Valencia.” During the harvest season, the olives are picked at the ideal state of maturity and immediately transferred to the olive mill where they are cold-extracted, decanted, and preserved with nitrogen in stainless steel tanks, ensuring the oil’s quality and integrity. It’s an oil which is always produced from the first cold pressing. And year after year, harvest after harvest, the objective is to delight and surprise lovers of virgin olive oil. And with this mixture of tradition and modernity are born the best olive oils. Masía El Altet High End, an oil produced 100% from the Picual variety. In the collective imagination, the province of Alicante is represented by an idyllic picture of beaches with golden sand and hidden coves, a history fashioned by native and foreign cultures, a gastronomy that is as varied as it is hedonistic and, of course, a disturbing wild and arid landscape but where we also find olive groves from which to extract our extra virgin olive oil.*******Los aceites de Masía el Altet son apreciados por los chefs y continúan obteniendo algunos de los premios más prestigiosos del mundo, incluido el Oro en 2019 en el Concurso de Aceite de Oliva de Nueva York.
